Allentown, PA – The Lehigh Valley Storm Football Club, of the Gridiron Developmental Football League, announced today that it has entered in a working agreement with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks of the Indoor Football League.
The working agreement will allow both teams to take advantage of player and organizational developments.
“We are excited to team up with the Lehigh Valley Storm going forward on a range of football related endeavors,” stated Steelhawks General Manager Mike Clark. “The Storm have many talented players on their roster and with our seasons being opposite of each other, we feel they can be a great player developmental resource for our franchise for years to come. “
Storm owner Steve Lombardo commented, “This agreement gives both Lehigh Valley football teams the ability to work together, not only for player development, but for all phases in operation,” Mr. Lombardo continues, “This simple agreement gives the teams’ coaches the open opportunity to see each other’s talent, which will be a way to continually improve the growth of our rosters with talented players for many years.”
The Steelhawks are in the midst of their second season at Stabler Arena and the Storm will be kicking off their third season on June 3rd, at the Central PA Piranha. Storm opens their home schedule at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown on June 9th vs. NEPA Miners.
